The Age came to an end not the world. To me it's clear, Ecclesiastes 1:4 A generation goes and a generation comes, But the earth remains forever. Not only that the spiritual Kingdom is forever. And in His Kingdom, He upholds it with justice forever. Isaiah 9:7 Also note that Isaiah 65:17 had to be fulfilled before the law could pass away.
Many bibles call "age" "world" and that's how people get trapped into thinking the world will someday end. The only world "age" that came to and end was predicted in the bible It was the old covenant world. There are only two worlds the old covenant world and the new covenant world. Sound confusion? The new covenant world has no end.

NEW AGE at His COMING, NOT ON THE CROSS!
In Jesus' answer to the Sadducees about the woman who had seven husbands, shows
that the resurrection was to occur at the changing of the ages:
Luke 20:34-35 And Jesus answered and said to them, "The sons of this age (the
Old Covenant age) marry and are given in marriage. "But those who are counted
worthy (die) to attain that age, (the New Covenant age) and the resurrection
from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;
The resurrection was not something that was available to them in "this age" (the
Old Covenant age) but would be available to them in "that age" (the New Covenant
age), shows that the resurrection would occur at the beginning of the New
Covenant age.
Matthew 24:3
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately,
saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your
coming, and of the end of the age?"
The disciples asked three questions
1. When will these things be?
2. What are the signs of your coming?
3. When is the end of the age?
When shall the temple be destroyed? In Matthew, At this point the disciples are
asking what are the signs of you destroying the temple and bring in the NEW AGE
at His COMING, NOT ON THE CROSS!

John lived in the LAST HOUR
1 John 2:18 Children, it is the LAST HOUR; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the LAST HOUR.
There are several passages of the "last days," or "last times" or "last hour" or "the end" in the New Testament by Jesus and the apostles. Everyone of the verses cannot be placed outside of the first century. Not only that, How can you have another "LAST HOUR" in an Age that never Ends?

Luke quotes Joel (Joel 2:28) in Acts 2:17, In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
The last days were in the first century, and all prophesy came to and end. (1 Corinthians 13:8-10)

World - Nations
Many futurist's believe the events of the Olivet Discourse and Revelation are to be global and haven't happened yet. They use Revelation 13:17 to explain why but my question then is: when there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed, that must not of happened either since Caesar didn't send census takers to North America. BTW Rome was referred to as an "empire of NATIONS."
The Roman Empire, while the New Testament writers were recording God's words, WAS the "whole world," the oikoumene in Greek, meaning "the inhabited earth" or known world. See Matthew 24:14 as an example of the usage of oikoumene. This is one of those things futurists claim HASN'T HAPPENED YET, even though Jesus clearly said it would in the present generation at the time. (Matthew 24:34).

Notice the phrase "whole WORLD", here:
John 12:17 - Now the crowd that was with him when he called
Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the
word.18Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went
out to meet him.
19So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us
nowhere. Look how the whole WORLD has gone after him!"
Obviously the Pharisees did not mean the whole world in the same
terms as we would say today. In fact, it seems they were mostly referring to the
land of Judah / Israel. It was their "world." So when we see Jewish/Israelite
writers using this term in prophecy, we can in no way assume they are meaning
the whole planet, America, or even all of the civilized world at Jesus' time. To
a Jew, at least in Jesus' time, only Jews mattered.
Tribes-kindreds is Phule
The Greek term rendered "tribes/kindreds" is phulē; this term is
used some 31 times in the NT and it is used exclusively of the tribes OF ISRAEL,
not all of mankind on the planet. This fact totally eliminates any possibility
of it not being fulfilled.

The Apostles said they were living in the last days. The last days of what Age? John tells us THEY were in the LAST HOUR. What Age was the Last hour in? If THEY were in the LAST HOUR, How can there be another last HOUR in an Age that never ends?
Hebrews 1:1-2 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the
prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 in these LAST DAYS has spoken to
us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made
the world.
Matthew 24:3 And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the

happen, and what will be the sign of Your COMING, and of the END OF THE AGE?"
Matthew 13:39-40 - There are only two ages spoken about at this
time in the bible "THIS AGE" and "NEW AGE" which is The Old Covenant AGE and the
The New Covenant AGE.
The text "END OF THE AGE" is not the end of the earth. It's about
the end of the Old Covenant AGE. The Old Covenant AGE ended in AD 70 when the
temple was destroyed. See Luke 21:20-24
Matthew 13:39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the
harvest is the END OF THE AGE ; and the reapers are angels.
Matthew 13:40 So just as the weeds are gathered up and burned
with fire, so shall it be at the END OF THE AGE.
Matthew 13:49 So it will be at the END OF THE AGE: the angels
will come forth and remove the wicked from among the righteous,
Matthew 28:20 teaching them to follow all that I commanded you;
and behold, I am with you always, to the END OF THE AGE."
Hebrews 9:26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often
since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the AGES
He has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
Acts 2:16-17 but this is what has been spoken through the prophet
Joel: 17 'And it shall be in the LAST DAYS,' God says, 'That I will pour out My
Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, And your
young men will see visions, And your old men will have dreams;
Hebrews 1:2 in these LAST DAYS has spoken to us in His Son, whom
He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.
1 Peter 1:5 who are protected by the power of God through faith
for a salvation ready to be revealed in the LAST TIME.
