Mark of The Beast by Pastor Dan Maines

IT WAS A SIGN OR REMINDER ON THE FOREHEAD

To fully understand what the mark of the beast is, one needs to know what the following verses mean.

Exodus 13:9,  Exodus 13:16, Exodus 28:38, Deuteronomy 6:8, Deuteronomy 11:18, Ezekiel 9:4, Revelation 7:3, Revelation 9:4, Revelation 13:16, Revelation 14:9

What you and I believe doesn't matter.  It only matters to the 1st century readers.  It would make no sense to them if the mark of the beast was 2,000 years into the future.  In fact Revelation teaches us the imminent fulfillment about the Destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple that happened in 70AD. See Revelation 1:1-3; 20:6-20.

Those that believe the mark to be physical, Let me ask you this, Isn't worship from the heart?  Jesus is stamped on my forehead.  Jesus knows I am His and dwells within me.  So, no matter what kind of stupid implants, barcodes, tattoos or vaccines you force on me, you cannot make me worship something that isn't in my heart.

The mark is spiritual, God knows who worships who in their heart.

The 21st century does not worship the beast. This is all behind us. Regardless of what technology does with chips, phones, computers, money etc. The beast is dead! And so if we have to buy our groceries and pay our bills with our phone, so be it. We are IN Christ, in His Spiritual Kingdom.

When we read about a "mark" on the forehead, hand, heart etc.  Right off the bat we should know this is figurative (symbolic) language not literal.  Take for example Ezekiel 9:3-6 The Lord tells an angel to place a "mark on the foreheads" on the righteous and uses a writer's inkhorn.  Do you really think an angel goes around carrying a writer's inkhorn dotting foreheads? No, this is a symbolic way of showing ownership.  In this case people were set apart, the righteous from the unrighteous.  And as we can see it didn't look good for the unrighteous.  They did not have the spiritual mark on their forehead. God knows who is His.

In Revelation 14:1 God places His "mark" on those that are His and in Revelation 14:9-11 A "mark" is also received on those who worship the beast etc.  Again this is symbolic language that separates the righteous from the unrighteous.  It's meaning is spiritual not physical.

I hear the person out there saying "What about buying and selling"?  Many people THINK one had to have a physical mark to buy and sell.  We  just showed  It's meaning was spiritual.   Do you really think the store owner looked for a "mark" on someone's forehead or hand?

The truth is, the only "mark" the store owner was interested in was the coin that had a "mark" of either Nero, Vespasian or Titus on the coin.  All three had coins minted for each.  All three were worshiped as gods.   So did a Christian use these coins Yes! it was the money they use in their day.  With out it you could not buy or sell.

Revelation 13:16-18 He (Neron Caesar (Nrwn Qsr)= 666) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads (spiritual), 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast (beast coin), or the number of his name A (666). 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Nero- Neron Caesar (Nrwn Qsr)= 666

Vespasian - IMP CAES VESP AVG P M COS IIII.

Hebrew - ymp qys wsp wg p m kws d.140 = 666

Titus - Caesarean coins

τειταν = τ (300) ε (5) ι (10) τ (300) α (1) ν (50) = 666

All money  was marked with Caesar's name and or image.  No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark of the beast which was a coin.

Today, Many new Christians go directly to the book of Revelation hoping they can get in on the social media talk about the mark, beast, 666, tribulation and the end of the world etc. but most of Revelation is not in our future.   They don't take the time to read the Old Testament and without that knowledge one will never know the book of Revelation.

It's very clear that Jesus made an appearance exactly when He said He would. Revelation 1:1-3, Rev. 22:12, Matthew 10:23, 16:27-28, 23:36, 24:34, Luke 21:22, 21:31-32.
