John would reveal things that would shortly take place in the first century
generation. Rev.1:1-3
In Rev. 1:7 John tells us it was the first century Jews that
would see Him. They were the ones who had Him crucified. They
were the ones who pierced Him. They were every eye in Israel.
They were the the twelve tribes of Israel. This is not talking
about the entire planet, It's the unbelieving Jewish people who
saw their city be destroyed right in front of them. Matt. 24:30
This occurred in 70 AD just like Jesus said it would. Jesus said
"not one stone shall be left upon another" Matt. 24:1-2
Josephus, wrote: "Where is this city that was believed to have
God Himself inhabiting therein? It is now demolished to the very
foundations." (Josephus, Complete Works, Wars 7.8.7) The signs
of Christ's presence in the clouds were witnessed by all of
those Jews and reported by the Jewish priests as recorded by
Josephus. (Wars 6.5.3).
