Passover was a shadow of Christ being crucified. Passover was celebrated on the 14th of Nisan. And Jesus Christ was crucified on the 14th of Nisan. The only year that was the 14th of Nisan and a High Sabbath the 15th was 34AD which was a Wednesday.
Two views will be shown here. (1) A Friday crucifixion and a Sunday Resurrection. (2) And Wednesday crucifixion and a Sunday Resurrection. Most Christians believe in a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday Resurrection. The bible tells us Jesus was in the grave Three Days and Three Nights. Does that mean He was in the grave 72 hours or less than 48 hours?
According to Revelation 11:6 the two witnesses have the power to turn water into blood and create every kind of plague. The two witnesses enact the seven trumpets and bowls. Now think about this, Who was worthy to open the seven seals which set these plagues in motion in Revelation 5? it was Jesus Christ. This miraculous power strongly implies that these two witnesses are Jesus Christ.
Who is the two witnesses?
You heard it right is (One) singular. Remember when in doubt
just answer "Jesus Christ" and 4 out of 5 times you will be
right? In this case that is what I'm about to show. Before
that, I just want to say I have studied the two witnesses
for many years now. At one point I thought it to be Moses
and Elijah, Elijah and Enoch, then 2 churches and another
The Old and New Testaments. I was never satisfied with 100%
certainty but Now I am, it's Jesus Christ.
Do we really get to recycle scripture from generation to generation or century to century for that matter? When the bible clearly shows that a certain prophecy has been fulfilled, Do we get to re-use the scripture for something else, or re-use it to show history repeating itself?
What you and I believe doesn't matter. It only matters to the 1st century readers. It would make no sense to them if the mark of the beast was 2,000 years into the future. In fact Revelation teaches us the imminent fulfillment about the Destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple that happened in 70AD. See Revelation 1:1-3; 20:6-20.
If we do not know what "heavens and earth" are in the bible we will end up in confusion and stuck in some man made end time scenario. Those that know the truth about "heavens and earth" avoid the scary, so called, End Times.
The 144,000 were the saints from the Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:14). The 144,000 are not from the 21st century as some think. The Great Tribulation took place in Jewish Roman War, the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD.
Nowhere in the bible does it say there will be a Return of Christ Jesus or a Second Coming. This language is made up terminology by man.
The rapture theory is only about 200 years old. The word was not even invented when the bible was written. The 1st century Christian's did not think they were going to float up into the sky to meet Jesus. It was John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) that created the idea to fit his belief system. His rapture doctrine grew at the end of the 1800s. In the1900s, DL Moody, Billy Sunday, and the Scofield Reference Bible all adapted to his rapture doctrine.
In many English Bibles, we're told Jesus would return a second time for Salvation. (Hebrews 9:28) BUT! after searching every English bible from Bible Gateway, I found 24 bibles that do not have the word "Salvation" in the verse. I'm believing the word "Salvation" should not be in this verse and I'll show why.
When the NT speaks of "Heavens and Earth" passing away, it's talking about the Old Covenant System coming to and End. It's the End of the Age, not the end of the world. (Matthew 24:3)
