  • Resurrection

There are two places in the bible that tell us when the resurrection would occur Daniel 12 and Luke 20:27-35

Daniel 12:2 - Is about the resurrection. Nobody can deny this.

Daniel 12:5 - The question is asked "How long will it be to the resurrection"

Daniel 12:7 - Tells us when the resurrection would happen. It would be "when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered" then all these things shall be finished.

Now, the "holy people" cannot be the church and the power of the holy people cannot be the Gospel. The Kingdom of Christ has no end. And the church will never be destroyed. Daniel's "holy people" was Old Testament Israel. And her only power was, her covenant relationship with the Lord.
So, the resurrection would happen, when Israel and her covenant relationship was "completely shattered"

The only age predicted to come to an end in the entire bible was the old covenant age of Israel. It would be when Israel's covenant power, torah was destroyed. Daniel 12 predicted the end of the age.

There are some great parallel passages that cannot be missed. I hope you take the time to review them in this study. Compare Daniel 12 to Matthew 13, 1 Corinthians 15 and Revelation 11. It's all in this study.

The Christian Age has no end Ephesians 3:20-21
The Church will never be destroyed Daniel 7:13
The Gospel will never pass away. Matthew 24:35

Also Jesus said the resurrection was to occur at the changing of the ages. (the Old Covenant age and the New Covenant age) Luke 20:27-35
